Privacy Policy
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what WAconnect collects, why, and how you stay in control.
1. Information we collect
We collect only what we need to deliver the WAconnect experience: account details (email, display name), device information, and the messages and contacts you choose to sync to your encrypted cloud backup.
We do not read or store the content of your WhatsApp chats on our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud backup.
2. How we use your data
To provide automation features, generate AI replies through your selected provider (ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek), sync contacts, and back up settings. We never sell your data.
3. AI processing
When you use Smart Reply, the message excerpt you select is sent to your chosen AI provider for inference. We don't retain those prompts after a response is returned.
4. Data retention & deletion
You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings → Account. Deletion is permanent and processed within 30 days.
5. Security
Cloud backups are encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest. Access is scoped to your authenticated device.
